About DiffBytes
DiffBytes.org is mostly a hobby project of mine. I’m using it to learn how to make a website and to have something to tinker with. The shop exists because I wanted to figure out how web shops work too, and there are some products that I wanted to be able to buy, and I figured I might get lucky and make some money on it too.
This is why the shop looks very different from the main website. The main website is all mine, and I’ve coded it all from scratch in a style that I like. That’s not really feasible for a store because of the required integration with 3rd party vendors and payment processors, so I’m using a separate system for that. I’m also really struggling to get a dark mode to work since the checkout page isn’t really modifiable, but I hope that is on the horizon.
How DiffBytes Operates
My plan is very simple: I’m going to post products that I like, and I am going to price them as low as I can get away with. If you buy a product, it will be the best deal I can give you. After the point of sale, I will try to take care of you if you have any issues. This is largely governed by the policy outlined on the Refunds and Returns page just because it protects me; however, I promise to do my best to do right by you since you gave my store a chance. How Products are Fulfilled
This will vary, but most apparel will be fulfilled by a third party, typically Printify. Other products might me produced by them as well, or hand made by me. I will make it clear which is which once I get my own products posted.
